Meet Dr. Chase Helgren
|
I’m Dr. Chase Helgren, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and the owner of Bounceback Physical Therapy in Hixson. I started Bounceback because I was tired of seeing people rushed through big clinics, given a generic sheet of exercises, and never really listened to.
I work a lot with active adults because they have meaningful goals — lifting, running, hiking, playing with their kids — and I love helping them get back to those things. But what really drives me is finding the true root cause of a problem and giving each person the one on one attention they deserve. In every session, it’s just you and me. We take the time to understand how your whole body is moving, not just where it hurts, and then build a clear plan together. That focused, one on one approach is how we’re able to get such great results and help you feel confident staying active for the long term. |
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral to see you?
In most cases, no. Tennessee allows direct access to physical therapy, which means you can schedule with me without seeing a doctor first. If we ever do need to involve your physician, I’ll let you know and help you with that step.
Do you take my insurance?
I’m an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance directly. Most patients pay at the time of their visit and many use HSA or FSA cards. I can provide a detailed receipt (called a “superbill”) that you can submit to your insurance to see if they offer any reimbursement, but I can’t guarantee what they will cover.
Why don’t you bill insurance?
By working outside of insurance, I’m able to spend a full one on one session with you, treat the root cause instead of chasing codes, and make decisions based on what’s best for your long-term results instead of what an insurance company will approve. The tradeoff is fewer visits that are longer, more focused, and fully tailored to your goals.
What happens at the $49 first visit?
Your first visit is a 60 minute, one on one session with me. We’ll go through your history, do a full-body movement assessment, test what’s driving your pain, and start hands-on treatment and specific exercises right away. You’ll leave with a clear plan for next steps and what to work on between sessions.
How long are follow-up visits?
Most follow-up visits are 45–60 minutes of dedicated one on one time. There are no overlapping patients, so the full session is focused on you.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on your injury, how long it’s been going on, and your goals. Some people just need a few visits with a clear plan, others benefit from a longer plan to rebuild strength and confidence. After your first visit, I’ll walk you through exactly what I recommend and why, and we’ll decide together.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in, like gym clothes or shorts and a t-shirt. If we’re working on your hip, knee, or ankle, shorts are best. For shoulder or neck issues, a tank top or looser shirt makes it easier to assess and treat.
Where are you located?
Bounceback Physical Therapy is located inside LIFT Gym in Hixson. You’ll enter through the gym doors and I’ll meet you there. After you schedule, I’ll send simple directions and parking info so you know exactly where to go.
